Financial Management Research Committee (FMRC)
The committee provides overall guidance to LIMRA’s distribution research program, particularly as it relates to the financial management of distribution, and provides a forum for the discussion of current financial management trends and emerging issues. Committee members also assist in the creation of financial-management-themed workshops at LIMRA’s Distribution Conference for Financial Services and host LIMRA's annual Financial Management Forum.
Target Membership: Committee members are individuals at a middle management level or above who have responsibility for field expense management and/or sales compensation. Members may represent either a direct sales force distribution (e.g., agency-building, MLEA) or an intermediary/third party distribution channel.
Typical Topics Discussed: Topics discussed include advisor and field leader compensation plan design, production incentives, field benefit plans, new advisor financing, regulatory developments than impact field financials and compensation design, recruiting and onboarding strategies, distribution metrics, distribution economics, and field structure and practice models (such as teaming).
