Podcasts are downloadable audio or video files available online. Subscribing to a podcast (or "channel") feeds each episode to your podcasting software, e.g., Apple's iTunes. You can also subscribe using RSS aggregator software and services such as Google Reader, or Newsgator. You can then play back the podcast from your computer or download the sound files to a portable media player.
Listen to individual audio podcast episodes from our archive page using your web browser -- just click the play button beneath the item you'd like to hear. Make sure your computer's audio is not muted and that you have speakers or headphones.
To listen to our podcasts every week, just subscribe to one or more of our "channels", such as LIMRA Research or LIMRA Industry Pulse.
There are a variety of ways you can subscribe to a podcast channel. Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 browser has a built-in RSS subscription feature, as does Microsoft's Outlook 2007 email client. In addition, there are a variety of free "RSS aggregators" (also referred to as "Podcatchers"). These include iTunes, My Yahoo!, Google, Newsgator, Windows Live, Bloglines, and a multitude of others. Most of these services will require you to establish an account prior to subscribing. Such accounts are typically free.
From the subscribe page, click on the orange "XML" button. If you are using IE7, your browser will display a page with a "Subscribe to this feed" link. If you click that link, IE will automatically add an entry in your "Favorites" collection under the "Feeds" tab.
Outlook 2007 has a built-in folder called "RSS Feeds". Select and copy the URL address for a feed into your clipboard. Then go to Outlook 2007 and right-click the "RSS Feeds" folder. Select "Add a New RSS Feed", then paste the URL address of the feed into the box that is displayed. All updates to the feed you have subscribed to will automatically appear as soon as we publish an update.
Simply click on a "subscribe" button on the archive page or anywhere else you find them on this site. After you click 'subscribe', a page appears with many subscription options. Click on the iTunes link on the right side of the screen. The podcast subscription should automatically be added to your iTunes podcasts list.
Note that you must be using a computer with iTunes properly installed for the subscription to succeed.
Simply click on a "subscribe" button on the archive page or anywhere else you find them on this site. After you click the subscribe button, a page appears with many subscription options. Click on a podcatcher link and the podcast subscription should automatically be added to your aggregator.
If you don't see your particular feed aggregator, try adding the feed manually. On the subscribe page you will see a URL that points directly to our feed. Copy this URL address and manually add this address to your RSS aggregator -- consult the aggregator's technical help for assistance if necessary.
Our podcasts are free for anyone to download.
