Augusto Diaz-Leante will share his firsthand experiences, challenges and lessons learned since founding Mundi Lab, Munich Re’s Insurance Tech acceleration program. The program, which targets early stage companies with innovations to disrupt the insurance industry, aims to find new solutions for making insurers more efficient while also reaching a broader customer base. Attendees will gain a better understanding of both the motivation and vision behind the program, as well as different cooperation models and best practices for implementing a similar program within their own company.

Fraud in insurance is wide-spread, expensive, and not easy to identity or prove. Join this session to hear two leading companies are fighting fraud against insurance companies in the areas of underwriting, claims, and administration. Attendees will learn how to combat fraud early on, identifying subtle relationships to uncover fraud rings, and preventing loss with the use of cutting edge technology and industry global best practices. We’ll take a look at trends across the world, examine several real world examples, and discuss steps one health insurer is using to minimize the impact of fraud.
