The government continues to play a key role in addressing LTC issues. For example, recent LTC proposals include adding LTC to Medicare Advantage and Washington State’s Long-Term Care Trust Act. This session will explore how government awareness and involvement may improve private LTC.
The advances in underwriting technology have led to a new wave of accelerated processing of applications and assessment of risk for individual DI products. This session will look at how two DI carriers are managing the change in the paradigm of underwriting with speed and accurate risk selection.
Looking to enter the hospital indemnity and/or accident insurance market? Or curious about how your products stack up? Join us to hear the results of a recent hospital indemnity product design survey from LIMRA and accident product survey from Milliman. This session will focus on the current state of these products and where they are heading.
This session will explore a brief history of long-term care/chronic illness combination products outlining plan, design, sales, actuarial basics. It will also discuss other considerations in the context of a small case study, covering modelling/product features and various sensitivities. The session will utilize both actuarial and non-actuarial views of the combination product to provide participants with a holistic perspective.
