Brokerage Committee
This Committee provides a forum for members who distribute their products through third parties, either insurance-specific Marketing Organizations or Brokerage General Agents, or other financial entities, such as investment firms and banks. Through this Committee, these members offer LIMRA guidance on key issues, trends in distribution, and areas of potential research and cooperative effort. This Committee also provides support and workshop development for LIMRA’s Distribution Conference.
Target Membership: VP-level executive with primary distribution responsibility for this channel. We also ask members to name an Alternate so the company can be represented when the primary Committee member is not able to participate.
Typical Topics Discussed: In both on-record and confidential Roundtable format, the Committee covers topics such as: product development, compliance issues, sales and marketing trends, infrastructure and process innovation, new entrants to the channel, managing relationships, and organizational structure. All discussion is within the Anti-Trust Guidelines.
