Highlights

The Supplemental Health, DI & LTC Conference provides a unique opportunity to consider a cross-functional view of supplemental health products, including accident insurance, critical illness, hospital indemnity, as well as individual disability insurance and long-term care standalone and combination products.

With a variety of sessions on pricing/product design, filing, underwriting, claims and more, as well as separate tracks for each product, attendees can choose to explore one product from end-to-end or consider one function across multiple products. 

Hosted by LIMRA, LOMA, and the Society of Actuaries, this event provides the opportunity to network with peers, share ideas and experiences, and learn from experts within the supplemental health, individual disability and long-term care industries.

Katherine Hempstead is a Senior Policy Adviser at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She primarily works on health care issues, mostly those related to health insurance, costs, and access to care. Before joining the Foundation, Katherine worked in New Jersey state government, where she was the Director of the Center for Health Statistics. She received a PhD in Demography and History from the University of Pennsylvania.

He focuses on consumer-centric healthcare, working with leading providers, health plans, employers, enablement companies, retailers, and venture capital firms to find innovative, engaging ways to bend trend. He works collaboratively with their senior executive teams to create the infrastructure required to serve consumers successfully. Through support for activities ranging from organizational design to strategy development to operating model build and new product launch, Sam helps his clients create innovative solutions that provide delightful, affordable, high-quality care, coverage, and financing to consumers.

Dr. Dave Rengachary is Senior Vice President and Head of Underwriting for U.S. Mortality Markets at RGA Reinsurance Company, where he has served instrumental roles in setting the risk philosophy for the department, oversight of US Manual development, leadership roles across numerous USMM underwriting initiatives and regulatory engagements.  He previously served as Chief Medical Director for RGA. Prior to joining RGA in 2013, he was a general neurologist in practice at Missouri Baptist Medical Center where he also served as medical director for their Primary Stroke Center. In 2021 Dr. Rengachary accepted a position as chair of ACLI’s Risk Classification Committee.  Prior industry roles include President of the Midwestern Medical Directors Association; Deputy Director of the Longer Life Foundation; Medical Consultant for the Academy of Life Underwriting; and member of the Educational Committee of the American Academy of Insurance Medicine.

Chief Executive Officer, Reagan-Udall Foundation for the FDA

Susan C. Winckler, RPh, Esq., is CEO of the Reagan-Udall Foundation for the Food and Drug Administration. The Foundation is the non-profit organization created by Congress to advance the mission of the FDA.

Prior to accepting the Foundation post, Ms. Winckler served as President of Leavitt Partners Solutions, a national healthcare strategy firm founded by Gov. Michael O. Leavitt, former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. A pharmacist and attorney by training, Susan is the former chief of the staff for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and former president and CEO of the Food and Drug Law Institute, a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C., which provides a marketplace for discussing food and drug law issues through conferences, publications, and member interaction.

  • 10+ — Companies may purchase 10 or more registrations and receive a 20% discount off the total registration fee. Single payment is required along with the total number of registrants. We will provide a special company link/code for your organization to distribute to the group.

Substitution Policy
Substitutions of registrations are permitted up to 3 days prior to the virtual event start date by submitting a written request to meetings@loma.org. The individual submitting the submission request is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with that substitution.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be received in writing. Email meetings@loma.org. Cancellations received by July 23, 2021, will be refunded, less a $100 processing fee. There are no refunds after July 23, 2021.

In the event that a scheduled meeting or event is cancelled by the conference partners for any reason, the partners shall refund any conference registration fees that have been paid by the registrant.
