Bryan Hodgens is Senior Vice President and Head of Research for LIMRA and LOMA. In this capacity, he develops and executes the research strategy for both the distribution and retirement research programs, focused on providing insights and best practices to address the current and emerging business challenges facing LIMRA members.

Hodgens joined LIMRA in 2022 with more than 25 years of executive experience at companies such as AIG, Wells Fargo Advisors and Asset Growth Partners. Most recently, he was senior vice president and head of LPL Financials’ Retirement Plans and Financial Planning Group.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Emory University in Atlanta Georgia.

Andrew Schwedel

Partner, Bain & Company

Andrew Schwedel is a Partner in Bain & Company’s New York office.  He joined the firm in 1996 and has also worked in the Boston, Sydney and San Francisco offices.

Andrew is Co-Chair of Bain Futures, which analyzes global macroeconomic and other trends for the firm’s clients.

He is also a member of Bain’s Americas Financial Services practice, which he led for 6 years, as well as the Strategy and Organization practices. He has assisted both corporate and private equity clients in the insurance (life, health, and P&C), wealth and asset management, banking, and payments industries.  His experience includes growth strategy, operating models and decision effectiveness, customer loyalty, performance improvement, and M&A assessments.  He has led multiple transformation programs.

Prior to joining Bain, Andrew worked as an insurance broker with Marsh & McLennan in New York.  He earned an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth, where he was named an Edward Tuck Scholar, and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
