WINDSOR, Conn., Aug. 3, 2009 – Today, LIMRA and LOMA, both LL Global companies, announced the promotion of Gary Aluise, vice president and managing director of International Operations, to senior vice president.

“Gary’s extraordinary understanding of the international markets and ability to translate that insight into an effective business strategy have been great assets to LIMRA and LOMA,” said Robert Kerzner, president and CEO of LIMRA, LOMA and LL Global. “Under his leadership, we have been able to focus our attention on key markets—expanding our in-language, in-country presence—and our international businesses have grown as a result.”

Aluise, who joined LIMRA in 2001 as international development director, is responsible for LIMRA and LOMA's international businesses in Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Oceania. Under his leadership, LIMRA's international division grew 45 percent, and expanded its in-language, in-country services in 10 countries. He has 34 years of experience in the insurance industry, including more than 25 years with MetLife in various capacities.

He is a graduate of Villanova University and has completed executive programs at Harvard University Law School and Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania.
