WINDSOR, Conn., Feb. 13, 2013 — LIMRA and the LIFE Foundation announced they will release the findings from their third annual Insurance Barometer Study at the 2013 Life Insurance Conference on April 15-17, 2013, in New Orleans, La.
“This study has provided unique insight into the minds of consumers during particularly challenging economic times, surveying their attitudes and behaviors regarding life insurance, as well as more general financial planning matters,” said Todd A. Silverhart, corporate vice president, LIMRA Insurance Research.
“While Americans are feeling more confident in the direction that the economy is going, many families are struggling and need help protecting their financial security,” said Marvin H. Feldman, CLU, ChFC, RFC, president and CEO of the LIFE Foundation. “This study helps companies better understand the mindset of consumers and identify the best ways to communicate the value of products like life and disability insurance.”
The Life Insurance Conference, hosted by LIMRA, LOMA, American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), and the Society of Actuaries (SOA), attracts more than 500 life insurance industry professionals from companies across the globe seeking to gain insight on the latest industry developments and equip themselves with solutions to address the complex challenges they face every day.
