LL Global Hires Risk Management Leader as It Expands Its Fraud Prevention Program

WINDSOR, Conn., Aug. 26, 2019 – LL Global, Inc., the umbrella organization for LIMRA and LOMA, today announced it has hired Russ Anderson to lead its Fraud Prevention program for the organization.

For the past 30 years, Anderson has worked for MassMutual in various roles, most recently as director of fraud surveillance and analytics. In this role he was part of the team that implemented MassMutual’s program to protect the company and its clients from the growing and evolving fraud threats.

“We are pleased and excited that Russ has joined our organization to lead our Fraud Prevention program,” remarked Gina Birchall, J.D., chief operating officer, LL Global. “In addition to his broad experience and detailed knowledge about the challenges our members face, Russ also served as co-chair for LL Global’s Fraud Prevention committee and played a pivotal role as we developed FraudShare, a utility to help our members detect and report fraudulent activities.”

As the head of LL Global’s Fraud Prevention program, Anderson will be responsible for identifying, defining and building shared business solutions informed by current industry practices, to help the industry combat the increasing incidence of fraud. He will be responsible for setting an overarching, long-term strategy, and overseeing the holistic execution of activities for the breadth and depth of the fraud prevention program.

Next month, Anderson will lead efforts to launch FraudShare, a new platform that will enable financial services companies to detect, verify and report account takeover attempts to a central database, developed by LL Global. This database will inform participating companies of new criminal fraudulent activity so they can better understand and prevent account takeover attacks.
