WINDSOR, Conn., June 12, 2024—Speakers at the 2024 Supplemental Health DI & LTC Conference — to be held in Louisville, Ky., on Aug. 12-14 — will explore how technological advances, product innovation and new business strategies will impact the future of the insurance industry.

The event will kick off with an in-depth discussion on the transformational impact generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) will have on the insurance industry. Dave Rengachary, M.D., senior vice president and head of underwriting, USIL, RGA Reinsurance Company and Yuval Man, co-founder and CEO, DigitalOwl, will discuss the potential technical and regulatory challenges of using Gen AI in underwriting and offer attendees practical strategies to successfully leverage this powerful tool while managing the risks.

Closing the conference will be Judy Busby, senior vice president, executive search and corporate strategy, Jacobson. In her remarks, she will explore the state of the insurance labor market, discuss current talent trends and employment dynamics, and share actionable strategies for retaining a fulfilled and productive workforce.

The event will host more than 20 concurrent sessions on topics including product innovation, regulatory challenges, underwriting advances, mental health risks, caregiving dynamics, and improving claims outcomes.

The Supplemental Health, DI & LTC Conference, co-hosted by LIMRA and LOMA and the Society of Actuaries, typically attracts more than 250 professionals in the areas of retail and group supplemental health products, individual disability insurance and long-term care/combination products.
