Médico, especialista en Reumatología e Inmunología. Doctor en Biología. Actualmente se desempeña como Director del Centro de Investigación e Innovación (CIISA) de Coosalud EPS. Fue Profesor en la Universidad del Rosario, donde fundó y dirigió el CREA (Centro de Estudio de Enfermedades Autoinmunes) y la cátedra de Medicina Traslacional. Previamente fue Profesor de Medicina e Inmunología en la Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana e investigador en la Corporación para Investigaciones Biológicas, en Medellín. Autor de la Tautología Autoinmune, teoría que establece las premisas para comprender los mecanismos comunes de las enfermedades autoinmunes. Durante la pandemia de COVID-19 centró su interés en la relación entre la infección por SARS-CoV-2 y autoinmunidad.

Héctor has more than 20 years of management and actuarial experience in insurance and reinsurance activities in Latin America. He is frequently He is consulted in the areas of pricing, reserving, risk analysis, solvency and strategic market analysis, and assists some of the most important companies of Argentina, both in pensions and in insurance. Some of his recent work has included M&A assignments for life and non-life companies, product development projects, and a liabilities study under IFRS and USGAAP. Héctor is also Member of the Board of the Professional Council of Economic Sciences of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

For more than 25 years, Carlos has worked for in the insurance and banking sectors in several positions as officer in various insurance companies; most recently as director of AXA Corporate University leading a new distribution channel, overseeing 300 direct agents in two different cities.

He was Risk Management Director in Grupo Financiero Promex Finamex, and prior to this, he was an insurance agent for Grupo Nacional Provincial, holding important positions in sales and attending Conventions every year.

He served as co-Chair of AMIS´ Distribution Channels Committee, participated as a spokesperson promoting an insurance culture in national media in programs such as Fernanda Familiar, was a columnist for Forbes Magazine and was on TV for more than 2 years in Excelsior TV with journalist Rodrigo Pacheco.

Academically, Carlos has a degree in Business Administration from La Salle University, a degree in Psychology from the University of the Valley of Mexico, a Master´s Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Ph.D. in Neuropsychoanalysis from the Intercontinental University.
