In Thad’s current role at LIMRA and LOMA, he leads the team of representatives in Latin America and the Caribbean, responsible for delivering member benefits. Previously, he was the Partner heading Mercer’s Latin America Retirement and Pensions Practice. Before that, he worked at Aetna, Inc., to expand their business in Latin America and the Caribbean, including health and dental benefits; life and disability insurance; health care technology and analytics; and health management solutions.
He joined Aetna from ACE Life, where he was Regional Division President for Latin America, and launched and managed the ACE life insurance business in nine countries in the region. Previously, he worked for MetLife, where he served in several leadership positions, including establishing and directing MetLife's Brazilian subsidiary.

Despite being relatively new in the profession, she has been recognised by both her company and profession.
As a strong advocate of utilising technology and social media, Joyce has implemented digitalisation at every aspect of her business. She has also given training to thousands of fellow Financial Consultants across Asia, to help them adapt to digitalisation as a new norm.
Kweilin Ellingrud is a Senior Partner and leads McKinsey’s Life Insurance and Annuities practice in North America. Since joining McKinsey 22 years ago, Kweilin has led multiple global insurance transformations, integrating both operations and strategy to empower employees, better deliver for customers, and improve efficiency and effectiveness. She was selected as a member of the McKinsey Global Institute Council, where she has led numerous research efforts including on the Future of Work post COVID-19, the impact of COVID-19 on jobs, and gender equality. María Inés has 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. She received her degree as Professor of Mathematics and Physics and then studied Marketing at UCES. She began her career in 1991 as an insurance administrator at a local AIG company and in 1996 was appointed Regional Head of Mass Business Underwriting for LATAM, working from AIG headquarters in NY. In 1997 she took on the challenge of assembling, from scratch, Mass Life insurance company in Argentina (of Mass Mutual), later assuming the position of Technical Manager. She served two years as Vice President of AVIRA (Argentina’s Association of Life and Retirement Insurers), and has been President since 2020.

David Levenson is president and CEO for LIMRA and LOMA. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading one of the world’s largest associations of life insurance and financial services companies, representing 700 member organizations across 70 countries.
Prior to joining LIMRA and LOMA, Levenson was a principal at Edward Jones and served on its management committee from 2015-2018. He was responsible for all products distributed through its network of 17,000 advisors in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to 2012, Levenson was president of wealth management at The Hartford Financial Services Group, responsible for the firm’s individual annuity, individual life, mutual fund and retirement plan businesses. He also served as president and CEO of Hartford Life, KK in Tokyo, where he was responsible for leading the largest annuity provider in Japan.

Norma has been General Director of AMIS since February 2021. Prior to AMIS she was President of the Insurance and Surety National Commission of Mexico (CNSF) where she supervised the Mexican insurance and surety markets. While at CNSF she also participated in the development and implementation of the New Mexican Insurance Law (LISF), a solvency II type framework, including the General Model for calculating the Solvency Capital Requirement. Norma has participated on numerous national financial Commissions, served as President of the Latin American Association of Insurance Supervisors (ASSAL) and Chair of the Insurance and Private Pensions Committee (IPPC) for the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). She has received numerous industry accolades including nomination of “Distinguished Fellow” by the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), "Distinguished Person" by ASSAL, and the Actuarial Recognition Medal from Anahuac University. She holds an Actuarial degree, a Diploma in Applied Statistics and a Master's Degree in Administration from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM) and is a certified actuary by the Mexican College of Actuaries.

Rick is recognized for his consistent track record of successfully growing financial service businesses and developing innovative digital distribution channels. He is passionate about serving customers better and has been a key business leader in DBS’ digital transformation and in its global recognition as the “World’s Best Digital Bank” and “World’s Best Bank”. Originally from the US, Rick first moved to Singapore in 1991 and has lived in Hong Kong and Indonesia in addition to Singapore, his home since 2008. Mario joined Prudential Seguros México in April 2019 as Chairman and CEO of Prudential Insurance Mexico, reporting directly to Regional President LATAM. Prior to joining Prudential Insurance Mexico, he was the CEO of GNP Seguros during the previous 4 years. During that period, he led GNP Seguros to become the largest insurer in Mexico. In parallel to being GNP´s CEO, he was elected by his peers in the Insurance sector, as the President of the Mexican Association of Insurance Institutions (AMIS), from 2014 to 2017.
Prior to joining GNP Seguros, Mario worked for 15 years at Seguros Monterrey New York Life where he was initially the Executive Director of Operations, then became the Executive Director of Distribution, and finally was promoted to CEO and Chairman of Seguros Monterrey New York Life and Chairman of Fianzas Monterrey. He has a degree in Economics from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IPADE, School of Business in Mexico.

For an additional $1,000, any company submitting a group enrollment request can be recognized as a Supporting Organization of the Conference. All cancellations must be received in writing; email meetings@loma.org. Cancellations received by September 24, 2021, will be refunded, less a $75 processing fee. No refunds will be issued after September 24, 2021. In the event that a scheduled meeting or event is cancelled by LIMRA for any reason, LIMRA shall refund any conference registration fees that have been paid by the registrant. Under no circumstances, however, shall LIMRA be liable to the registrant for any other expenses.
